AutoIT AH Buyout Bot Suggestions & Feedback

Hi all,

Based on what I have been finding on the forums, I am about to create an AH buyout bot with the following potential features:

• Multiple pre-defined search queries
• Pixel detection to maximize efficiency
• Blizzard Detection avoiding (example to perform below every 15minutes/100 searches):
  
  • Log out/exit
  • Start/resume game then idle or random move
  • AFK at character selection screen
• Auto-reauctioning of bought items [if AH slots available]
• Auto-salvaging bought items
• Run in background

If you have any further suggestions please feel free to post them here.

that sounds awesome... what language will you be writing it in and when do you expect it to be released?

my suggestion is to allow it to work while minimized in 800x600 resolution and maybe add some sort of bidding option on a certain time left threshold

Thanks for your suggestions. This will be written in AutoIT for simplicity purposes. As of now, the only way to read any values within Diablo III with AutoIT is through pixel detection. So the only way would be to OCR the actual numbers which would prove to be both inefficient and take up way too much time to code up (as I am looking to make this within a day). The other option would be memory reads using AutoIT which is possible, but being the lazy SOB I am, this may just generally take too long.

I will add your other suggestion to run it in the background. To my knowledge this will be possible with AutoIT, as long as not minimized.

Depending on when I have confirmed the scope of this, it will take 24-48 hours to complete and I will need some betatesters to run this before releasing (I am extremely adamant about not releasing half-baked goods).

I advice you to make you to make it closed to the public becouse it takes about two days to close every development of the AH bots (as i saw), and to share it with only testers, which can help you with the developmeent

Seems like when you offer up something for free everyone goes crazy. Ask for 10 minutes of their time and suddenly I hear crickets. Haha. Well, will wait and see what comes around or if I have time to go through those manual tasks.
