Is there any reason to farm gold any more?

I mean, anything WORTH buying will be sold on the RMAH. Gold has little use now imho so why farm? I am missing something?

Gold is needed for certain things in game. Crafting etc. new trade currency now = real money and good items

RMAH made gold obsolete... I was really only playing D3 because of the new actual economy... That just got raped by the RMAH

Even if gold hits like $2.50 a million, if you can run 4-6 accounts that's like a grand a week. Still seems worthwhile to me?

10 accounts x 300k each per hour = 3mill per hour x 24= 72mil x 2.5 = 180us

taking it at $10/mil, that is 25mil gold, if anyone has an item which they believe can sell for more than 28-30mil, they would put it up on auction, then sell the gold (for cash)

The "best items" will almost always be sold for Gold, not Cash. With the $250 limit for a single item, top end pieces would be better off selling in the Gold Auction House, then selling the Gold off to the RMAH.
