Try playing evelynn, she is ownage like hell.

I'll look into it :P , nocturne was my first champ I paid for, wukong is my next fav with a lulz worthy lee sin being my 3rd favorite. karthus gets honorable mention.

a few good champs on SR are shite on dominion I agree; panths ult with a CC group is great for point takedowns. (nunu*, cho'gath, panth, annie, lee sin) needless to say, it turned into they group up we'd be forced to split as teamfights would not go down correctly when encountered.

* iffy, and has to be mostly a pure resist tank, supporting with ulti ontop of pantheons ulti.

teemo, jax, annie, poppy, noc do extremely well so far as i have seen.

also hehe i play with my jungle rune setup >.> armPen ftw

One thing I like with dominion is that it's so team dependent. I have won maybe 1/4 games when I PUG. And 3/4 with an arranged team.
