Easy money with buying alchemy transmute cooldowns (up to 4500g per transmute)

Hey there.

Here is a short but VERY successful trick on how to make money with buying transmute cooldowns. I made 2000 gold in less than 5 minutes with it. It is dependant on the server economics, I know that, BUT the situation among the servers should be almost the same. Now here is the trick:

1) Buy Volatile Life from the auction house, 5 gold per item, you need 15 so that makes 75g total

2) Spam in trade: "/2 LF Alchemist with free transmute cooldown! Paying <put something here> gold", 50-200g is the price on my server depending on day time and people offering

3) Tell them to go to Uldum to transmute so you get Volatile Air

4) Sell Volatile Air for 60-80g per item, so you will get at least 840g or if you were lucky and it procced you can get up to 75, that would be 4500g! I think that 75 is the maximum but not sure, but I am sure that it can proc because this was clarified in a blue post earlier this week.


You may have to adjust this to another element but volatile air is used most, so this should be okay. Here is a list of where your transmuter needs to be:

• Mount Hyjal: Volatile Fire
• Vashj'ir: Volatile Water
• Deepholm: Volatile Earth
• Uldum: Volatile Air

Don't forget: DO NOT FLOOD THE MARKET! Have 5-10 up at most and wait until they are sold. They will be sold in no time.

you need 15 to make 15 right? and you got a change to procc more, But are you getting those extra one's or do they keep them ?

Theres lots of stacks of 1 volatile air on my servers AH, at 20g minimum. Do you think they'll sell or just get flooded more?

I think that he by free, means not in use. As in not on CD.

+rep, good idea. Wont be much of a protfiit on my server, unless there is a proc.

Also I'd add in to agree with the Alchemist that if there is a proc, you get to keep them, even if you have to double your fee for the transmute.

im alchemist , and selled the CD for 400g and proc x3 !!! and i keep 2 truegold !! im so lucky hah!

today it proc x2 (my mats) and sell them for 2.5k on mi server

Good guide, the only problem is that this shares the same CD as Truegold so a lot of achys won't have it available because they've already sold their CD or would rather transmute truegold to make more gold as selling that transmute often goes for 300g
