Hello, first of all I just wanna say, start off by going to your auction house and check the price of savage leather in stacks, if its 230+, heck if its 150+ this is going to be profitable. If you've done that and the price is that high then just go on reading.

We are going to kill these:
Stone Bat - NPC - World of Warcraft

The mobs come in packs of 8 and have 5k hp.
as a warrior i just pull 1 with heroic throw and the rest of the pack will come and attack you.
kill em (Probably 1 shot) then loot & skin, i estimate @ 16 stacks savage leather per hour.
+ shit loads of trash + greens & random occasions even blue + strangely bloated stomach which gives
Volatile.

So, 16*325 = 5200g/h - 325 is the price in my server and the leather sells instantly.

This makes the bats drop Tiny Treasure Chest - Item - World of Warcraft

you will make around an extra 1-2k/hour. Thats crazy. wish i was LW still.

Well even with the potion... in 1 hour including LW skill

I made about 3.2k or so.....i suppose if leather sold as much as TS's server....id get a hell of alot more...only like 150-180 on mine!

Yes, I do get 1 leather per mob, they are 8 in packs, meaning 8 leather per group

Yeah, they can no longer be skinned. Fixed.

I just wanted to say thank you for the guide. I had a blast skinning here until they hotfixed the bats sometime around Dec. 21. Just thought I would post to confirm that although they are still lootable, they are not classified as being skinnable.
