450-525 Cooking

Hi, I've been a member since 2008 on my other account Mitchy91 but had some problems gaining privileges since I became inactive after I took a break from WoW and made a new forum account instead. However I felt that I should make a contriubation in someway, and sice I'm not good at finding exploits I'd figure I'd go ahead and put together a guildline that I will follow regaurdless and post it here to try and help people out and possibly improve it.
Enough of my chitter chatter.

This guild is an outline on how to get 450-550 Cooking using some of the Pre-Cataclysm exploits to your advantage like fishing the new Cata fish in Tanaris/Uldum and Hyjal.

Now before I start the core of my guide I'd like to bring to your attention that if you are able to get your hands on any Lavascale Catfish Then you can use it to a large advantage since Lavascale Milestone. From what I have researched, this recipe will entitle you to a bypass right to level 520~525 saving you some time, thinking and Chef's awards.

Please not all recipes I mention are obtainable using the Chef's awards gained by complete the daily quests from Marogg (Horde) in Org, and (Unsure about the Ally Equiv). Also a very important addition (which I know has been posted before) to get a head start on cooking in Prep for Cata you should
COMPLETE THE DAILY COOKING QUEST ON ALL YOUR LEVEL 10+ ALTS AND BUY THE CRATE OF TASTY MEAT
and send the loot of meat to the toon that you plan on leveling cooking on.

Now if my research is correct you will only need a total of 9 Chef's Awards used to buy 3 different cooking recipes to get from 450-525

450-475
(Using Fishing)
Green@477 (Lightly Fried Lurker) 3 Tokens to buy recipe
Striped Lurker can be obtained in Hyjal, Look at the Exploit link above to gain pre-cata
*Total supply of Striped Lurker: 35-50

(Using Crates)
Green@477 (Salted Eye) 3 Tokens to buy recipe
Snake Eye obtained through Meat Crates from Cooking Daily, or A/H.
*Total supply of Snake Eye: 35-50

(Using Crates)
Green@597 (Hearty Seafood Soup) 3 Tokens to buy recipe
Blood Shrimp can be obtained through looting the Crate of meat, which is why it is useful to complete the daily on all of your alts, You could also try to trade other loot from the crate like [Delicate Wing] [Toughened Flesh] [Crocolisk Tail] for some in trade.
*Total supply of Blood Shimp needed: 30-45

Green@597 (Tender Baked Turtle) 3 Tokens to buy recipe
Giant Turtle Tongue can be obtained through looting the Crate of meat, which is why it is useful to complete the daily on all of your alts, You could also try to trade other loot from the crate like [Delicate Wing] [Toughened Flesh] [Crocolisk Tail] for some in trade.
*Total supply of Giant Turtle Tongue needed: 30-45

Only have to be level 10 or higher, and have to learn the cooking skill, I've done it on a level 10.

Your character only needs to be OVER level 10, with level 1 cooking.

Thank you for the guide. I'm getting everything planned out to top cooking quickly. The blood shrimp are currently in my AH for 100-150g each so I was wondering if there was any way to get them besides the crates currently (i.e. exploits)?

If not I don't mind waiting til the last day to see how many I've accrued through crates and buying the rest.

I haven't come across any way to obtain them in any other way than the crates. However, what i've been doing to stockpile them is offer the people that are selling the shrimp in the AH a compensation with other items that you can get from the crate: example: PM the person selling the meat in the AH something like Wanna trade 6 snake eyes for you 5 blood shrimp?

thats how i've been stocking up anyways. Haven't come across any other way to get it.

Well, the problem I see in this, is that you maybe will get problems if you obtain realm first with this.
So atm I'm buying everything of the meat crates and try to get to 525 with this.
Should be safe?

Please note if you are trying to do the Fishing Exploits they have been hot fixed.

Yeah I'm not an idiot but thanks... My links go to fishing exploits that don't work. I figured I should inform people that try to utilize this guide that the exploits that I linked no longer work... I know other places work but there aren't any threats reliable enough to fix my current ones with. Sorry for trying to inform people that my links are now duds.
