Right, it's raid reset time, 4.0.3a has landed and most dps classes have found out that their cherished Chaotic Skyflare Diamond has had it's requirements changed to something completely ridiculous.

This may well be common sense, so flame me if you like, but there is a massive demand for the following gems from raiding dps classes...

Melee/Hunters are going for Thundering Skyflare Diamond

And casters are taking either of the following, Tireless Skyflare Diamond
Insightful Earthsiege Diamond
or Ember Skyflare Diamond

So jewelcrafters get crafting, alchemists get transmuting (Transmute: Skyflare Diamond) and make some good money while the rush is on!

Just saying, its a nice thought, but imo, people will prob do anything to just dump their items asap befor cataclysm hits to get a larger pocket.
Also, dont think people are willing to spend more cash, most people would prob just let it sit there, worthless, until the first or second questreward replace it completely.

Perhaps, but I logged today and my entire guild dps are looking for new meta gems because we are still trying to down Lich King 25 HC before cata, and the AH prices of these gems are sky high, and trade chat is full of people asking for transmutes/cuts for these metas, it'll only last a few days until people get their gems swapped out, but there is a limited time super-high demand at the moment.
