Instant Mount at the Netherwing Ledge

Okay so i was doing my rep dailies after the 4.0.1 patch hit, and noticed sometimes, i got remounted instantly.

I looked into it a bit more and discovered that [as a DK, confirmed to work on mage too] if I cast any buff at self whoever and jump right after that, i get mounted.

I've had a lot of funn killing allies that were trying to fly away [bcos 310% mount + 20% from talents is 372% ]

I searched for this and no, its not a repost

EDIT: Looks like some ppl here fail at maths.
Mount speed modifiers are applied multiplicatively, which means the formula is 310 * 1.2 = 372
    and not 310 + 20 = 330.

I think a better exploit would be telling us how you managed to make 310+20=372.
Cause I sure would love it if my death knight and Paladin would stop being stuck at 310+20=330.

-Not to say your exploit isn't useful to some

Pretty simple what he meant was 20% but he still got that wrong it would be 325 %

Well when 310% is increased by 20% its 310*1.2 which is 372%

Or is the mount speed just additive?

Happens whenever you cast any ability out of combat. Can instant mount on my rogue with stealth, evasion, sprint etc. Works in all of shadowmoon valley. Haven't tested the rest of outlands or northrend.

OP's math is correct, for example crusader's aura makes you go 20% faster, no matter what speed mount you're on, NOT 310/330= 6% faster. With ground mounts it's 120 either way, but your aura gives you more speed as you get on flying mounts

Everyone in the thread so far has been wrong about mount speed.

A 310% speed mount increases your movement speed by 310%. That means your total movement speed is 410% base movement speed.

Pally/DK auras are indeed multiplicative, so this gives us 410% * 1.2, which is 492% base movement speed. This is an increase of 82% base movement speed over any one else on a 310% speed mount.

This is incorrect. Mount speeds are still multiplicative, so it ends up being... 100% base movement speed * 310% mount speed = 310% speed when mounted. Then you multiply by the 120% speed bonus given by pallies/DKs, and you get your 372% speed. This was proven by some addons made for the purpose of measuring movement speed, and wowwiki's tables are actually incorrect when they think you still calculate in the extra 100% base movement speed.
