[Hallow's End] Farm Treat Bags with auto-click macro

Hey guys,

Here is an easy way to AFK farm the Treat Bags during Hallow's End:

1. Position your character by an innkeeper and target it (best to pick one away from major cities i.e. not where I am!)

2. Make the following macros and bind each to a key (1 and 2 for this guide)

/script SelectGossipOption(1)

/use Treat Bag

The first macro selects "Trick or Treat" if available. If not, it will select the dialogue for setting Hearthstone but you can ignore this. The second macro loots the Treat Bags because they are conjured items (Remember to enable Auto Loot)

3. Go to Key Bindings -> Interact with Target -> set the key (U for this guide)

3. Download _keySpam by Drakefish and make the following set up:



NOTE: I have used a one-second interval. You can set it higher if you want. Technically it only has to press the keys once every hour, but you have to do it more often than that to stay online.

It will spam "U" to keep talking to the innkeeper, and then the macros will take care of the rest and keep you online.

Why farm the Treat Bags? They have a chance to contain some nice items, like the Wands, Masks, Pumpkin hat and even Sinister Squashling - Item - World of Warcraft

Did you even read the post? This is not an exploit. It is just using an auto clicker to Trick or Treat once every 60 minutes, in case you need to go to work or sleep.

_keySpam is undetected, so if you do get banned it will be from player reports, which won't happen if you do this in a far away inn.

But it is up to you if you want to take the risk or not. Personally I don't feel there is any risk and I have been doing this for several hours now.

It's not that your getting banned due to the auto-clicker being detected, during the rest of the year if u see someone stand there for large sums of time killing just tigers 99.9% of the time they are botting. This works with the bags too, there is not a single person who would stand at an innkeeper and get all the bags possible, so its not hard for blizz to distinguish botters when you stand in any one place for say 15 hours getting bags.

I don't think you will be banned for this. What got most players banned (me included) was spamming a key in combination with an addon to get multiple bags at once - and THAT is very easy to detect for blizzard. But sure, technically this is bannable... but not likely.
