Beta Client/PTR Client Mixup and YOU!

Theres two things I wanted to summerize in this thread.

First, that if you open up your Beta client, and log in with a non-beta account, you will load all the Cataclysm areas and be playing on the non-cataclysm servers. You will appear floating in the air.
Second, is that this works well in Orgrimmar (The place I tested it). You will appear floating or sinking to all the other players who see you, and some may mention it. The height difference is minimal, but still there.

The other thing I wanted to mention, is that there is now a Help GM section in the console on the PTR. MY GAWSH its underwhelming.(EDIT: It appears to already be removed. It now give "NONE" instead of the one command - bgloadbandwidth). There is also a new command - showplayer. Typing "showplayer" into the console hides your character from your own view, making you and all spells you cast invisible to you.

Lastly, I'm talking about BLIZZARD PTR servers, not any private realm or private server which I'm somehow aware that people will come in here saying "No emulator things, k mang?".

Also, one last bulletin: /afk \n not longer disconnects you. It just makes you afk =(. Seems blizzard got a hold of that.

No. The PTR servers are currently patched with everything from the beta, however, most of it isn't activated. Like, the world is still the same old etc. You can test the new talents, some of the new glyphs, the new class mechanics, stuff like that.

But everything related to Cataclysm, in regards to quests, races, world changes, is NOT on PTR.

I've seen this, and posts like it, about every 5 minutes since the PTR opened. Mostly on PTR trade channel.
It's amazing how many people in this game can't figure out that the PTR is not Beta. If it were beta, it would be called beta. This happened before wrath, it happened before BC, and you can be sure it will happen before WoW: Wrath of the Burning Cataclysm

Oh, the other Disconnect macro, that is supposed to change the color of your text but simply DC's you when you talk, doesn't work either. You simply say "Discconnect risk=true" in /say, and nothing happens.

MAJOR BUG HERE:

You can still fly in Azeroth on the PTR if you go to Krasus Landing in Dalaran, mount up on your flying mount, then click a portal to a city. You will remain on your mount until you switch zones once more.

One more thing I would like to mention I got my friend to take me to Hyjal with Passanger Mount(Ground) and It still seems their a No Mans Land Limit to it. I guess because No Mans Land debuff is Server Side?Fatigue and Breath Things would Apply to I would guess

Does anyone know what the new "/console setcurrency" function does? If I enter nothing it says: Invalid Currency. If I enter a number I get disconnected instantly.

Currency is usually refered to marks & badges? Perhaps you can change some of thoose values

...What sense is that? If you want something to be moved to elite, then let it be something purely worthwhile. While this is interesting it isn't worth elite.
