Trick idiots to purchase overpriced vendor crap when using Auctioneer

First off, Sorry...Terrible migraine, This is going to be short and sweet.

Apparently, There is a bug that when you list Gigantic or Small Feast, Saronite Bomb, Corpse Dust, or Fel Hide when using Auctioneer scan data that it displays a HIGHER vendor resale value than what it is worth, I'm not exactly sure of the margin of how much we're talking but either way, I figured I'd share it. All in all for those who can't figure it out, List said items below what the auctioneer scan data vendor value displays, Make profit. Where's the exploit? It's not intended for this to happen, done.

I dont get it. But I also don't sit in front of the computer for hours on end just watching auctions with auctioneer. I'm not one of those guys that literally farms the AH.

Just to make sure that I get the point:

You want us to sell the 4 listed Items on the AH. Slightly under the vendor price that auctioneer shows but above the real price. The goal is to find someone using auctioneer who wants to sell it to a vendor for profit. Am I correct?

Since auctioneer got a feature that scans AH for things that is posted under the vendor price , ppl using this will buy out the named stuff in order to make an profit at an vendor. But if OP:s statement is correct they will actually buy out the stuff at a higher price then they will get from the vendor due to the bug in auctioneer hence making a loss.

Not anything that will grant you a big income but if you have this stuff lying around you will make a bigger profit by using this bug instead of vendor it , and piss some AH players off while doing it ^^

Auctioneer and Quickauctions are two completely different things.

@OP: Thanks for this, gonna buy some corpse dust and see what I can make off it.

Thadd, Your reply has NOTHING to do with my thread, All you did was trash my choice of addon and then explain how yours is better.

I don't think buying Corpse Dust will be worth it, unless Auctioneer produces a value above the buying price i.e buy from an NPC for 5s and have a vendor price of 1s25c is going to lose you money rather than make it.

    ---
edit: Now the servers are back up, I just went to check on Saronite Bombs and Fel Hide and Auctioneer scan data shows the vendor price correctly:
Saronite Bomb - 2s5c each or 50s per stack
Fel Hide - 12s50c or 2g50s per stack.

So this doesn't work for Corpse Dust, Saronite Bombs or Fel Hides.
