[Updated] Walk and Cast

Hello. I'm really sorry if that is a repost. Searched couple of keywords i have in mind and couldnt find something similar.

-Some of you may remember the exploit with the wand and quick casting + walking.

-That exploit was wand-classes spesific, could walkcast only once and im preety sure it got nerfed.

-What im talking about is that with that exploit/guide you will be able to start casting a spell, start moving away while casting and complete your spell whenever you want. (A good example that proves how valueble it is, is Res at arena. You start ressing your parthner. Then the enemy is coming near you. You start moving and abusing pillars. When res cast is about to end, you LoS corpse and voila!)

And it is simple as that:

1. Keep the right button of your mouse clicked.

2. Start casting any random spell. (You can start with one that has big duration and with practice you can use a quicker one. The quicker the first spell is, the trick becomes faster and better. | Quartz is a plus here in order to see the actuall casting bar w/o latency. )

3. At around 85%-90% (Depends on your connection), Press your strafe button and the spell you want to use. ( You have to strafe with A or D button. It will make your character strafe as long as you have right click down. | If you want to be more accurate you have to press the 2nd spell first and after ~1 milisecond A or D button.)

4. Keep the strafe button pressed. If you did it right you should running and casting at the same time like that:

5. You can also chain casting spells by stoping at 70% and repeat. Something like that: ^^

:coolugh: Before you say: "OMG USELESS STUFF GTFO!", Think about it and how helpfull could be.
Except the ress thingie ill give you another random example. You are a shaman for example near a pillar and there is the mage in the middle of the arena. Here is what you can do if you are really expirienced and quick with that. You start casting heal on yourself and casting hex with the trick. Prolly mage is starting casting polymorph. You LoS it with pillar while you cast Hex of course. Polymorph is getting interrupted and you run out with your instant hex. )

Remember that its hard at the start. But after you practise a bit you will do it very easily.

IDK if its a repost but I think you need to give credit to the guy at Warcraftmovies, he made a vid on this exploit and I'm pretty sure you found it there, or you just happened to do the same thing on the exact same time?

Tbh, i found this out while testing Quartz addon and tried the res in a skirmish match.
But if there is a video at WCM i would like to check it out.

I can't get this to work Any more specific detail on to when start casting your 2nd spell? And if there's any requirement in order to do this. Thanks.

I discovered that by my own and by mistake actually.
Too bad people had same inspiration these days.
eloivanelst try to remove haste gear and do a ~3s cast.
Its just practice. ^^

While I haven't tested this to confirm even I just wanted to drop a line about using exploits like this in arena/BG/public in general.... don't. Quickest way to get it fixed.

Tried it with both my 1400 haste set and without it. Still can't get it to work. I might not have enough lag or such?

Perhaps you have like me and use A and D to strafe with already, without holding down your mouse. I couldn't get it to work this way, I had to reassign my A and D key to turn left/right. Then it worked flawlessly! Btw, some friends noticed ppl actually doing this in arena, so I guess it's gonna get fixed pretty fast.

works perfect! after about 5 mins of practice I can piratically cast anything on the move!

I am using the default key bindings for walking/strafing already. This is what I am currently trying:
Holding right mouse button --> Cast greater heal --> Wait till 70-80% --> 'try' Casting another spell & directly holding either 'a' or 'd'.
