Druids: Longer Thorns Buff

For druids I thought of a way that I was not sure works until I tried it but you can have 1 hour of thorns by following the steps (being a druid I hatted using the thorns buff so often) well for duel spec there is

>Have thorns glyph on OS
>Buff with thorns
>Swap to MS keep the buff for 1 hour
Or
>Buy the thorns glyph
>Buy one of the current minor gylphs
>Put thorns on And Buff
>Replace with minor gylph of choice
>Thorns for 1 hour

You will keep thorns and if you try to rebuff yourself with thorns you won't be able to due to the fact about the timer.

Don't seem like its a repost, but it's pretty common sense imo...

I'm a tank druid, and i want 3 minor glyphs, so i just left my offspec with thorns so i keep swapping after every whipe.

This is how it is with just about any glyphs which isn't attack based.

Protip: Have your resto/boomkin build on OS, for extra SP, and wear that gear, with my gear (which sucks) more than doubles the damage thorns does.

Though this may not be the greatest exploit of all times, atleast it's one more constribution to MMOwned.

I just figured I would add, you can also do the above with the Cenarion 3pc. Set bonus from MC and get thorns to last 1hr 30mins as it stacks with the glyph. I have been doing so for ages.

Is the increased duration really worth all the spellpower loss though?

EDIT: Building off of what vyre said, you can also use trinkets that have proc/on use spellpower to further boost thorns' power. I've been hitting 370 damage a hit with 3/3 brambles and 4189 spellpower, ~1200 of which came from trinkets.
