How To Get Above Stormwind City Gates

Step 1:Go to Stormwind City and go to location as seen below.



Step 2:Go to the "sweet spot". The spot is the highest little hill.



Step 3: Jump while running on that hill! Be sure to aim slightly upwards towards the green patch of grass on the hill next to our entrance.

Step 4: Keep on jumping!

Step 5: The "entrance" to the top looks like this...



Good Luck! And remember, this may take you a couple times to get used to!

Well infact you can jut run up and jump very near. i did it with my gnome

I think this is pretty old. I knew this back in early WotLK days.
And I figured out a way to get on top of the actual gate/door that's open in front of Stormwind. I'll post later?
