    [Guide] Making Gold With MarketWatcher

Hello, this is a tutorial on MarketWatcher and how to make gold off it.

MarketWatcher has made me near 4,000 gold over the last week on about 1 hour of playing each day. I'm not going to crank out how much gold you can make in an hour, because that is NOT how this works. It's simply buying stuff while it is low, and then re-selling it when it's high. This could be done without any addons, but MarketWatcher gives you a graph of Average selling rate, the Lowest selling rate, and the Highest selling rate.

May the Tutorial / Guide Begin:

    1. ) Download MarketWatcher at curse : Market Watcher - Addons - Curse

    2. ) Go to the nearest Auction House, and 2 tabs will appear at the end of your Auction Tabs on bottom of the screen ( named History and Scan )

    3. ) Go to History, and click add.

    4. ) I have on there right now about 28 items, some include:

    -Greater Cosmic Essence
    -Cardinal Ruby
    -Eye of Zul
    -King's Amber
    -Titansteel Bar
    -Titanium Ore
    -Titanium Powder
    -Arctic Fur

There are many worthy items to add.

    5. ) After you click the add button, put the settings as follows:

Make sure all of the settings in the red circles are the SAME for whichever item you are displaying.

    6. ) Go to the Scan tab at bottom of your Auction House Interface, and hit scan ( MAKE SURE "Record Scans" IS CHECKED )

    7. ) After 2 or more days, you will be able to look at the graphs of each item by the "Graph" Button on bottom of the Scan Screen.

    8. ) On the side you should be able to see check boxes, check whichever ones seem important to you, I use the low for trend line and buyout. But whatever floats your boat!

    9. ) When your graph shows the line plummeting, buy the item when you think it will be profitable when it goes back up.

    10. ) Here is a picture of my graph:

Have Fun! If you have ANY questions, feel free to PM me or comment! Thanks!

I've never used or heard of this add-on, but just for my sake and to clarify for anyone else, what differentiates this from Auctioneer?

Well, a couple reasons ( for me at least ) ... I just found it to be a lot easier then Auctioneer, also, Not too sure, never found such a thing on auctioneer, but I think the graphing portion is very helpful on quick looking on how the server's economy is doing.

Indeed it is a very useful tool for the serious Auction House gold makers out there.

Look at it like this, even though a Limo and a Ferrari are both automobiles (gives you prices on items in this case), they still do different things and is designed to be used differently.

The main differential with auctioneer is that you know the market price, over time. This mod is particually useful because it allows you to paint a picture of the weeks going by, you can actually see when things spike in price on specific days (suprisingly common) for example selling a epic on a weekend as opposed to a raid night, that sort of thing. Also Auctioneer data tends to be slow to catch trends if you've been scanning for a while, IE saronites are still fairly high on mine because they used to be that way when I scanned, and now the real market price is a fair bit lower.

Didn't even know that such add-on existed. Thanks, very helpful (instead of manually making graphs in Excel)

Thanks a lot for your time for commenting and "Good Reviews"!!! I'm currently on working on a mining guide, That includes all zones, and preferred routes and whatnot, but im making custom routes, so it may take another 2 weeks or so for that to be released ( it will be in a dowloadable form because of so many pages ) ... But yah! Thanks a ton for your good responses
