BEFORE I START, YOU MUST GIVE THE PEOPLE THE PRIZES THEY EARNED AS THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED SCAMMING IF NOT AND COULD GET YOU INTO SERIOUS TROUBLE. THIS IS NOT A SCAMMING GUIDE AT ALL.

Stop saying stuff is common sense, it's a guide, guides are don't have a law to follow not to be common sense. It's like saying farming vanilla mats in BRD and auction them is common sense, it is to some, not to all.

This works extremely well in two different methods. However, I will post those methods right now so it will be known.

Method 1: A high-end raiding guild.
Method 2: A chopper mount.

Now if you don't have these, you might want to consider going for a chopper.

We are going to do a raid-and-loot raffle for the high-end raiding guild method.
What is a raid-and-loot raffle? Simple. Follow these easy steps and you'll get a guild tab loaded in no time. It's not as simple to run however. You might need a spreadsheet and some extra help. No one in your guild is allowed to enter this raffle.

1. You must have a high-end raiding guild.

2. First, you should start spamming your Trade Channel with something like:

%g is hosting a raid-and-loot raffle!!
~You could win runs thru ICC 10/25 LK!
~Only 5-10 winners will be chosen!
~100g for a ticket, 500g for 6 tickets!
~Mail %s how many tickets you want and gold!
~Winners will be announced on %d @ %p @ %t Server Time

Do this for about 2-4 weeks.
%g represents the guild name.
%s represents the person who will recieve mail.
%d represents the day that prizes will be drawn.
%p represents the place prizes will be drawn.
%t represents the server time prizes will be drawn.

3. When you get mail/whispers, reply to the mail saying their ticket number (numbers if they got more than 1). To determine ticket numbers, use a spreadsheet that looks like this:

Ticket # | Name

This may take a long time, and may be tedious, but my last guild made 350k + gold with this method.
4. By the end of this you should have a spreadsheet of about 1000 to 2000 numbers. To determine the amount of winners, do it like this:
500-1499 tickets = 5 winners.
1500-2000 tickets = 10 winners.
Now you will find out the number of tickets you had.

5. When we are done with all of this, you will meet up on the day you draw prizes out at wherever you said, and will wait a few minutes after the time you specified for more people to come or not. You will then /roll 1-XXXX where XXXX represents the amount of tickets. If you have 5 winners, do that five times, and take some screens if you must. Same for 10, do it ten times and take screens. But the winners must be like this:

Prize 1: ICC 25 LK
Prize 2: ICC 10 LK
Prize 3: Ulduar 25 Astral Walker
Prize 4: Ulduar 10 Starcaller
Prize 5: OS 25 3 Drake Twighlight Drake.

Prize 1 and 2 shouldn't be changed, but the rest can. If you have ten winners, just give two of each prize. Remember that you will need to give the winners whatever loot they want or need, and carry them thru. They should be able to pick the day, time they want, and if they don't want it, they can give it to a friend.

Then when you get a number, say you rolled 151, 241, 11, 981, 679, look at the names of which. Say Enagic bought tickets 151, he wins the ICC 25 LK. And so forth.

Method 2: Chopper.
The chopper method is a more personal gain. The same style applies to this, just it might be a lot less money.

1. Spam Trade Chat with a macro like:

%s is giving away a chopper!!
~How can you win this? Easy.
~Mail %s 50 gold for a ticket, 200 gold for 5 tickets!
~Mail %s how many tickets you want and gold!
~Winner will be announced on %d, @ %p @ %t.

%s represents the person who will recieve mail.
%d represents the day that prizes will be drawn.
%p represents the place prizes will be drawn.
%t represents the server time prizes will be drawn.

2. When people mail you, reply to them with their ticket number ONLY if they sent gold. Then add them to your spreadsheet. Keep spamming until you make a profit (You raise more than 14k gold). 280 tickets will meet 14000 gold. You should get 500 tickets or more, as I did (who wouldn't want a chopper for about 50-1000g?). 500 tickets makes around 6000-10000 profit.

3. Keep raising more, even if you get a good profit. When the day and time comes, do /roll 1-XXXX where XXXX represents the amount of tickets. Refer to the ticket number for their name and announce the winner. Take a screenshot and give them the chopper and such and you are done!!

I hope my guide helps and this is an excellent way to raise guild tab gold or extra personal gold for whatever you need (sell gold, buy another chopper and raffle it away again XD, or whatever). As long as people know you are legit, you can start doing it more often. If you knew this or did this before, thats fine, just don't post saying "I did this before" or "Old stuff bro" as I have seen no guides on it so far on MMOwned and hope it helps someone.

Well, you should be level 80 first, and should be in a guild thats not really a dumb guild (troll, scamming)

How do you get banned? You are providing a product (service in this case), and if this is an act of "casino" its not bannable on US. Not sure about EU though.

Running IN-GAME casinos is not bannable.

However Advertising IN ANY WAY is bannable. This means /say /yell /trade etc

Although I'm fairly certain whispering people directly is fine.

Eh, I've done this twice, and we never got banned. People were more psyched about it as the top raiding guild offered runs thru ICC.

Hmm after undertaking some actual research into the matter, I came up with the following Blue Posts,

"Casinos are, in and of themselves, not currently against our policies.

That said, we are monitoring the practice and the overall response to it very, very actively.

As I stated in my prior post:
While this practice may not, in an of itself, necessarily represent a violation at the moment, there are activities associated with running an in-game casino which certainly can represent violations; such as spamming or scamming.

Also, if it appears that this practice is being abused or is simply having a deleterious effect on the game play environment, we are certainly willing to revise our stance on the subject. Please remember that our ultimate goal is to provide the best and most fun environment for all our players.

It remains unwise to run an in-game casino, as it is inherently risky. Merely because you can do something does not mean that you should. "

Meh, I really wanted to try this, but I didn't wanna risk my account..

So I went and asked a GM about it, and according to the GM you are NOT ALLOWED to set up a lottery in WoW.

Sadly I received my answer when I was offline, so I couldn't argue with him :/
