    The method to verify the name on an account is NOT working

    I see my last thread was deleted, wish it didn't as I was still going to test.

    I just tried with a trial account that has a 100% wrong last name and it said "Cannot transfer to Trial Account"

    I then tried with a 100% right last name and it said the exact same message.

    Now either i'm horribly missing something or this method does not work anymore.

    It's possible Blizzard wised up to this method and changed that. It sounded like a mistake on their part from the beginning anyways, so there might not be a way to check it. I've always thought that threatening to call Blizzard billing to test the last name would work, but I will admit I've never tried it.

    i thought you can't Xfer from reg account to trial...

    You can't. What's your point?

    To check the las tname of an account, what you would do is make a trial with waht you think was the correct name. It used to check the name before checking if it's a trial. So if it said "This account is no eligible" that meant you had the wrong name, if it said "Cannot transfer to trial" it meant you had the right name.

    now, if the name is right or not it says "Cannot transfer to trial"

    Damn, it was a great way to test. O well now you need correct info the first time.
