So I'm tired of getting talasites and dawnstones; the way I figure it, most people only know what they read on thottbot or wowhead (ie. small chance at epic gem, 100% chance at rare gem).

Simple fix to my dilemma: open it, take a peek, but don't loot it. If its not worth at least 50g, like a ruby, put it on trade channel and see what people will pay for it.

I've gotten 50-100g for them recently.

It's a little obvious, but, hey, more gold in my pocket.

Look inside the thing but don't loot it unless its something good. If it sucks then sell it unopened to some random retard on ur server for 50-100g.

I found a nice revision to this, so non-JCs can benefit as well. It requires a bit of startup capital.

1. Get a stack of each color gem
2. Offer 10-20g + your mats to buy other people's cooldowns (there are a lot of sellers, I was surprised).
3. Look inside for epic (if so, loot; if no, check #4)
4. Resell the Brilliant Glass for 50-100 g.
5. Rinse, Repeat.

Does it not MAKE you loot it whenever you open it up? Like with clams and even with you disenchant something...Even if you open it, and don't take the loot, it still forces you to if you hit the close button on the loot window.

I've never dealt with the glass things, so I'm just curious..
