[ÜberSafe] Carbonite GOLD Scam

Heya everyone, this is my first post in the Scamming Section, dont flame plix, I think this is pretty safe, cause they wont report you.

What you need:
- Carbonite 1.67
- Convincing skills

Get the crack for Carbonite aswell, and try it on yourself to see that it works.


Lets start now,

Log on one of your higher level characters, I'd say 60+ to make people not think you'll scam them, I used it on my main.

Go to a major city and/or a populated leveling zone, and say something in /1 or /2 like:
"WTS 1 year registred Carbonite Addon -xxx g" (I used 300, and dont know why)

You will now hopefully get atleast one whisper asking what it is or if they are intrested.
I had some problems on my server cause no1 knew what Carbonite was, but I refered to the website (Carbonite - Homepage)
and by watching the preview vids, a few peps got intrested.

Ask them to add you to MSN / AIM for futher information and changing of the owner of the registred version (yes, its all lies).

While talking on MSN / AIM, try to trick him, say somthing like this:
"I'm writing a email to the Carbonite staff atm, asking for a change in my registration, so my subscribtion wont get closed when I send over the addon to you, and remember, if you share it to your mates, and they logon with it, it will prob. get closed, so if you need to change the owner by some reason, contact me and I will change the registred name."

Then if he says his char name, just say 'ok' tell him to wait for the change to complete, wait ~2mins and then tell him you have the new code for him to activate the addon, and that you cannot use it anymore.

Send the addon without the crack text, to show him that you really have it, then ask for the gold, after you got the gold, send him the crack text.

Then rename the crack text to something more.. ?!?! .. and give instructions what to do with it. ( Copy-Paste the text lines into the end of his WoW/WTF/Config.wtf )



Note extra stuffs:
- If your using Carbonite yourself, turn off the social mode to show your location on the map.
- Add the guys you've sold it too and see when they are in citys or not (so you can continue to sell it to others)


EZ-Mode (not so easy.. but shorter!)

1. Go major city, use /2 "WTS 1year registred Carbonite addon -XXXgold"
2. Add peps to MSN / AIM
3. Pretend your talking to the carbonite staff in some sorta way to change the registred name
4. Say that your ready to change and send him the addon without the crack, to show you really do have it.
5. Then ask him to give the gold, and after that, send him the crack (renamed ofc) and tell him what to do with it.


It took some time for me to find someone that was intrested, but the good thing is they wont report you for it, cause it seems legit.
I got 1200g in 2 days with this (4 successful scams).

I will post MSN convos later, its not what I think of when I try it the first times.

So when you have them change the Config.wtf, does it change the login saying that it is registered to another player?

Yea its a scam, your saying that you'll get them the registred version and it wont work for you, and they give you money for it.. they can easy get it from here.

And to Tulladar, no it wont, but it will work to logon without it saying you should logon Vitting @ Chromaggus, making it look just like the full version (which it will be, but cracked)
