Guys i have the same problem (failed to get game data) from 10min with my account at LV 38 ... But i think isn't a ban because i have many pokèmon in so many gyms, I checked with another account and are still present... It's a mystake...
If NIANTIC delete my account, my name and my pokèmon should not be in gyms for logical thinking.... OR NOT?!

I also receive this, only on 1 of my 2 accounts (which I have botted on).
I believe it may be a ban.
I had both bots running side by side (necro, mostly default - no sniping ~38k xp/h) and then 1 displayed errors and I can no longer login to that account.
Time will tell but I have changed IP addresses, platforms (necrobot, nox, ios) and cannot login.
I've sent Necro screenshots and logs so if he see's anything suspect hopefully he can work it out - but to be honest - it wouldn't be hard for Niantic to do server side detection/checks and then ban a bunch of people.
Here's hoping.

Even if they login, a change of vpn will fix the "ban."

It's perma ban, me and my friends checked it, his account got banned, I checked the gyms we have together, his pokemons were all gone, even though it's the top 2 pokemon of those gyms, mine was staying strong at the top though.

Once u are ip banned, they kick u off the gym...... that doesnt mean its perma ban

The same thing happened to me and I have two accounts too. I can only log in in one of them the one I get this message from is the one I let boting all night so I'm pretty sure it's a ban. However I used my other account just to check out a gym where I was in and I'm still there so I'm guessing I'm not perm ban but pretty sure it's a "new kind of ban" because the last two types wasn't working out. Like the spining thing could solve a softban and the new one where you have to wait like 30 to 45m to play again. Now maybe we have to wait a few hours til we're allowed to play once more. If not hell with it though. But yeah I'm sure it will be alright because if I'm not mistaken when you get perm ban, all you have get erased. At least I read it somewhere in reddit

They're having issues but only a few people are being affected. Maybe it is really a servers problem and it wouldn't be the first time that you can play and other people can't. Many times when the game was actually really fun I would play around with my friends and when the servers were getting crazy some of us could still play while others would be having problems with the servers. And would be like this for a few hours changing from playing ok to what the hell is happening
