    vram for multiple bots question.

So I want to build me a botting machine in a few months and have a question about running multiple bots…am I gonna be ok with lets say 1.5gb vram and like 16 gb of ram to run multiple instances of D3, WoW and SWTOR or do I need more vram for that ? (obviously plan on having i7)

    vram for multiple bots question.

16GB RAM is fine but what i7 are you getting? That's just as important to know

In games i7's give just about the same FPS as a i5 because they do not make efficient use of hyperthreading. I'm not 100% sure but I think you could squeeze almost the same amount of bots on a i5 when you can a i7 (but don't quote me on it )

And my final note is to make sure you get a decent graphic card^^. With 16 bots running, all using graphic resources to draw the environment around them it will be under a fair bit of stress, even with the games set to low. So a good value graphic card is recommended

I was thinking i7 2600 cause it's cheap (found one for $250) and I figured more cores = more bots. I remember I had intel dual core with 128mb integrated vram and 1gb ram back in tbc days, I ran 4 bots (good old glider) w/o problems, however that was tbc...

If you can run the game on the lowest resolution you will be fine with 1.5gb.

i5s and i7s have the same number of cores (4) its just that i7 has 4 hyperthreads in addition to them 4 cores. Hyperthreading helps multithreaded applications and tests have proven it don't help that much when playing games. That has been tested for FPS though so for botting I have no idea how much benefit it will give.

With that setup though you would easily be able to do what you wish to do

Don't buy amd's eight core cpus. They are total rubbish compared to intels quads in the same price range.

I'd suggest a intel i5 2500k. They give you a lot of power for a ok price. And the 2500k have good overclocking potential. If you buy a aftermarket cooler you can easily clock it to speeds from 4.5ghz and beyond.
