Order a hosting account (linux VPS) they come cheap at 5$/month and use them as your VPN. You can get full speeds almost always on there.

I currently use PrivateTunnel but it is bandwidth based, their speeds are amazing. You can use it for gaming but will cost you a lot.

You can't really use public VPNs for gaming unless its very close to your location, even then depending on the VPN provider the speed fluctuates depending on the load on the server (they have a lot of users).

The biggest issue which gaming users face is Lags.. I would recommend IPVanish VPN best for Gaming.. They recently start partnership with Lag Assassin and introduced a superb offer for its gaming users..
See What they offer with Lag Assassin:
Reducing Lags & Improving Connection Speed
    Building a Faster Network Connection
Better Lag Spike and Reduction in Disconnections
Uninterrupted Gaming i.e. the service runs in background

You can see more Gaming VPN and their features and protocols which support to play games from other countries.. http://www.bestvpnprovider.com/gaming-vpn

Honestly renting your own tiny box to tunnel traffic through might be your best bet, you can get them for as cheap as 50 a year.

I can beat that. Bluevm for 12 bucks a year lol

I won't recommend bluevm though, what a waste of my money. I just use it to store stuff now as the speeds are terrible

Normally latency issues can be solve through VPN because VPN helps you to connect with closest servers to get better gaming speed and connectivity. I can recommend here few top VPN services who have over 300 servers world wide.

If you experience lag while gaming then no 1 fix for it is to switch to wired connection because wifi is not recommended for gaming. If you are already on a wired connection then your connection is facing heavy traffic because of which you are facing lag issues. Switching to VPN will bypass the heavy nodes and you will have no or less lag. I would recommend to check some Gaming VPN providers out there and read their review before buying. cheers

If you want to enjoy online gaming using a VPN then just use Express VPN and feel the difference

Technically, gaming doesn't take a super fast connection - it just needs a stable connection, so the suggestion of not playing via WiFi is a good one.

However, a VPN can help if you are very far from the server the game you are playing is hosted on causing you to have a high latency/ping.

Therefore, the best VPN for gaming is probably the one the most servers around the world if you play international servers or one that has lots of servers in the country you mainly play in. There is a table at GetFastVPN that shows IPVanish and PureVPN as having quite a few more servers than other VPN Providers so it's easy to see why so many gamers recommend them. (I'm still in the process of updating the table, site is new, so Express VPN isn't in the comparison yet.)
