Is this a good deal for me?

Ok, I play WoW (OFC) but the computer that I used to play on went dead, so I started playing on an old computer. my latency at the crossroads is ~300 which is ok, but in org its the sad story of 10K+ latency and DC's. So im gonna but a new computer, I started browsing craigslist and have been talking to a guy who can get me a good deal. On this.


He said I can get it for $300
Windows XP pro
it has been used (reformatted)
has a 3Ghz P4 processor with Hyper-Threading
2Gigs of RAM
onboard video <---- yuck.
80 GB SMART III Serial ATA/100 hard drive

And all the usual. Deal or no Deal? <----- please dont sue me for using that phrase

If it run's WoW with 30-40 FPS in crowded area's of WoW and 50-60 FPS in a smaller crowd then I say take it.

before you buy it i would check different internet stores and computer stores and see if they have a similar or even better system for sale before buying that one... built one nicer then that(minus HDD, monitor, keyboard, and mouse) for a buddy of mine for about $500 us.

That's a decent deal. Nothing super but it's alright for the money. With a few more dollars you could build a new PC (assuming you don't want a new monitor and whatnot) that would really blow that one out of the water though.
