[Help] Got a question? Then post here.

Hi, i have recently seen alot of people asking questions regarding photoshop, its functions etc. So here is somewhere for you to post your questions instead of bumping an old thread, filling up someones thread with something off topic etc. The people at the graphics forum will try to help you regarding you're question as best as they can.

Over time if this thread does have any sucess (all depends on how much help people need) i will make a mini FAQ of the questions already asked with their appropriate answers. (Btw to anyone else feel free to help update the FAQ etc, this thread is open to anyone to help the "newbies" with any problems they have its not my own personal thread)

Note: When asking a question try to be as legible as possible, we understand for everyone english is not the natural language but try your best to make it understandable so we can accurately help you. (in some cases screenshots may be helpful to explain your problem)

Lastly; this is an idea i have recently thought of so this is more of a trial open to your opinions, if any of you do feel this thread is unecessary then feel free to say so and it can be removed, it's only an idea that's meant to help others.(Also if this thread is used this main post will be updated to be more appropriate and not contain my ranndom blabbering)

thanks, yeah tutorials would be helpful, did you general tutorials though or tutorials that relate to the questions? because if you meant in general i'm worried that it may turn into another tutorial thread and loose its purpose but tutorials in the faq for the questions sounds very helpful, nice addition.

If this gets good this might get a sticky and maybe even make a GFX experts group O.o anyway here is how to install brushes:

To get brushes into photoshop go to your adobe folder and your photoshop folder. Then go into presets and click on the folder called brushes. Move all your brushes into that folder and then go into photoshop and get out your brush tool. Next to where it says brush size bush on the little arrow that points down and there will be this thing where you can choose brush hardness next to that will be little arrow like this -> click that and click load brushes and chose the brushes you want to load

Actually you don't have to load the brushes when they are in the presetfolder, just restart photoshop.
You can load brushes from any folder you want.

i don't think there will ever be a graphics expert group, its just a small section in a wow based site.

nice idea but i was trying to keep this thread more specific. adding a link to a tutorial page seems irrelevant unless the tutorials are specific to a question the person has asked for help on (thats just my views on it, if others feel differently say so and il add it)

Removing the Background - Photoshop Channel Mask
Removing a Picture from it's Background using extract in Photoshop
Removing the Background - Photoshop Pen Tool
    Remove Image Background

a few there with different methods, and some are the same method e.g. extract, just explained differently. personally i would say start out simply with the magic wand, then perhaps move onto the extract tool and then move onto using the pen tool (from my experience it generally produces better results)

edit: Narudan's tutorials are much better so might want to just look at them instead.
also Narudan where did you get that first tutorial from pleae? that was made by the admin on a graphics site i used to be part of until it got shut down wondering if its up again somewhere

well thats hopefully what the threads for. instead of just one response you get a variety of responses from many different people. lol problem is the thread will only work if theres people that need help and if no one does then its preety irrelevant. thanks for the rep btw much appreciated
