I was told it was giving a LOT of false positives, and was hindering their support with influxes of false-bans so they disabled it a long time ago.

More likely that it isn't related to the client-side anti-cheat at all, and that it was server-side heuristics that made the error(s).

There is a client-sided one, as TehCheat pointed out. It's just not used often.

i think they are going to use it real soon. That incorrect bans...that was a try...in next few days they are gonna fix it and then start using it.
Hopefully by then I will be on maps and can ditch fullbright and those hacks. and Hopefully it doesn't detect poehud

Yeah. I'm not gonna stop using hud. It's become part of my Poe experience at this point. Honestly, I think the community, including GGG would be SHOCKED if they woke up one day to see the number of flagged accts identifying users with some sort of hack. I think a good percentage of the community uses Hud, at minimum. I don't think GGg wants to pull the ban trigger on all of them. I think it would be counter productive to the success of their game. Honestly.

Totally agree with you there. The HUD offers so many QoL improvements. The most important one for me is definitely its ability to show monsters on (mini)map. I literally couldnt play without it. I dont think i would continue playing POE without the HUD.

They might be looking for something else. I saw a belt in chat with all the best mods and all max rolls, literally perfect. I don't believe that is naturally possible. I suppose it could be but the odds of it happening are 1 in billions.

At the same time how many people are botting? I've seen a ton of Chinese / Taiwanese botters recently personally.

I used zoomhack and autopots/autodc since very first days of POE. First my own script(based on old UO automatic), next "dont remember what". Next gurud with my own modifications. HUD this days. Maphack it not vital(dont use it), brightness..its QoL question, we can live w/o it. But zoomhack, autopots and autoquit is must have for HC. Actually me sure most 97+ on HC use it. Old days it was 1-2 party for whole league on that levels. And I was in that party, swear everyone used scripts, including popular streamers. Streamers just turn it off and do safe farm while on TV )
Bots is different thing. They do it for $, so vpns, VMs, hundreds of nullified clients. Just check prices on rmt sites. It's huge bussines and it's not-startup industry, some companies even did IPO, lol.

They stated before they mostly concerned with botting and exploiting though. Doesn't mean maphack and hud are safe or anything but I doubt they would waste too much resources in that when they aren't as obvious or bad for pr as the bots that get stuck stashing and running 1000 loops.
