You can either try the "8080" port which is for Site Hosting to.
Or choose another Web-Hosting Software instead of Verizon FiOS?

Btw, i dont think Verizon FiOS is blocking the "80" port.
Because the Developers might know that people wont us it, if it wasn't able to use when they hosted their own Website.

Thanks alot, and sorry i couldn't resolve your Hosting Problem.
Please read my "EDIT" on my post above.

Eventhough, did you remember to edit your "Hosts" file?
If not, try Edit the file, and type this:

    Localhost YourWebsiteName
    Internal IP YourWebsiteName
    External IP YourWebsiteName

I cannot remember if its Internal IP first or if its External IP first.
    Try both.

    * Location of the "HOSTS" File:

    (C:/HDD/System32/drivers/etc)

best bet is to call customer service and ask if they blocked web hosting port "80".. if so then u have to change webhost port. IF port is not blocked, your configuration is incorrect.

just try it normally with port 80 and see if it works. There may have been a typo or the person was wrong.
