Question regarding thoughts on buying new hardware

    Hey guys,

so i'm thinking about getting a new rig, as my current one seems to have problems running latest mmos in max settings, even if the hardware should be enough.
    I have an i5-2500k oc'd to 4,5ghz, 16gb ddr 1600mhz ram, asus sabertooth p67 board and two sapphire r9 280x in crossfire.
Currently i'm playing elder scrolls online and the cpu almost runs constantly at 80-100% load.

What do you think, would it make sense upgrading to an i5-3570k or even i7-4770k? How about ram, is 1600mhz enough or should i go for something higher?
What hardware do you guys play with to maximize fps in mmos?

    Thanks in advance for anything.

most games are built with 8 gb of ram in mind so you have more than enough there (Sorry i dont know much about any other computer parts)

I like to use pcpartpicker.com to test my builds and compatibility.

Depending on the MMO, you won't necessarily need the top of the line, unless you really want the highest visuals.

You'll need to consider how optimized the game is. ESO is fairly new, so I'll take a gamble and say that it's optimization has been an ongoing process of improvement. They probably aren't utilizing all the cores to their fullest as multithreading is a pain in the arse.

With that said, if upgrading your CPU isn't a deal breaker then I would. Your other specs seem the norm, but you'll get the best improvement with the CPU.

16GB RAM is overkill to this date. Unless your GPU and CPU is great, I would not go for it. If you don't have a SSD, I would suggest going for that, as it increases loading in many games (as well as your PC startup time)
