    Quiting Aion

    Ok, so i bought Aion.
It looked like a good game and somthing fresh, i chose the scout class and later on chose ranger at level 10.
All seemed well and good and was fun, but when i hit level 20 all the previous quests rolled in again. it seemed like a replay of the last 10 levels i just achieved... nothing new!

The overall look of the game is nice and visually stunning but there are certain elements that can catch you out. The leveling system is just a hard grind, almost every quests is kill X amount of these or gather X amount of this. But wait, it gets even worse. I plowed on to level 30 and then the grind really hit me it really does take hours from then on to level up just a few bars.

This is the main reason i am quiting Aion, its just no fun having to grind for so many hours just to get a few bars in a level. I have also been told that the instances at level 40+ take 5-8 hours, which isnt very casual at all, only the hardcore gamers can generally run them.

I just thought i would post this to warn anyone whos considering buying Aion, i thought it would be a good game and i knew there would be grinding to do but trust me, its way over the top and takes hours upon hours of grinding to get through half to one whole level. Since quiting Aion i have gone back to wow and i am enjoying it more then ever

Welcome to a real mmo, where everything is not handed to you and you actually have to grind to develop your character.

    bias review is bias.

If you think about it, it is still quicker to reach max level in Aion than it is to reach max level in WoW.

I have to disagree with you Iraq, i still dont mind a grind as i previously said but this is a whole other level. I like to work for things and dont expect them to be handed to me.
Dont think this is Bias at all.

I ended up quitting too, I don't have the time to put into it, otherwise it would have been a great game.

I've played it too, but I stopped because I was reminded of grinding in WoW. I love the character customization and overall graphics, but the grinding and constant lag turned me away from it. I might start it up again if my girlfriend wants to play it /shrug
