Battlefield Heroes is a Free-to-Play game, but with micro-transactions. You can spend money on Battlefunds, with which you can purchase different clothing for your heroes, or special guns or widgets to improve your performance on the battlefield. For those who don't want to spend money, you earn Valor Points as you play, which can be used to temporarily purchase some guns and widgets, and a select few articles of clothing.

The reason I stopped playing is because of all the overpowered paid items bullshit.. I love the game but it's become so imbalanced. When this was just released I loved it, hate it now :<.

Battlefield Heroes does offer advantages to those who fork over the extra cash, but the advantages aren't that great- Everything that can give you an advantage that can be purchased with Battlefunds can also be rented with Valor Points. It's harder to keep up, of course, but it's still possible. The only things that can ONLY be purchased with Battlefunds are appearance-only items, or the guns that aren't all that special (like the 1-shot, long reload pirate gun, or slow-long range shotgun)

The server has Auto-Admin running on it, so if wanted you can /vote for a different map, or to get a player kicked, etc.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen much interest; only a few posts in this thread, only one person who I've seen sign up (using my link, so it may be unbalanced, but not by much most likely), and the server's been pretty inactive.

I don't intend to renew the server as things are right now, but if I'm convinced otherwise, I could try and renew for another month, and possibly toss in a Vent server
