DayZ Standalone + Cheat Engine memory scanning

I'm still a relative newbie when it comes to Cheat Engine, although I've written enough bots using addresses found with it for other games.

I've been looking at Standalone Status Effects - DayZDB and trying to scan memory for those values and having absolutely 0 luck. Has anyone had success?

The values can be anywhere from 0 to the maximum values listed there. You will have to search for a range, then search for increased or decreased.

Regardless, I'd recommend not hacking this game. It is a survival game, and they are working on getting VAC implemented soon.

Right, but some values are fixed until certain events happen. For instance, blood level should stay at 5000 until you are hit, or dying of thirst/starvation. I'm wondering if those numbers are actually accurate.

I'm not familiar with VAC, but I assume scanning (not altering) a program's memory is okay to do, or am I mistaken?

As long as you don't edit memory, scanning is fine with Cheat Engine.
