A short guid about farming Leoric's Signet.

1.The reason

Why farm lvl 14 ring? Because it gives you 20-30% experience gain. Spending a couple of hours farming this ring will bo more than worth it's time if you're planning on advancing in Paragon levels:

2.The setup

I'm farming with a monk and I believe that's the best possible class for the job. Here's my build

Basicly you should run WITHOUT a companion or Mystic Ally - they tend to run offscreen and you either have to chase them and check the item drops, or ignore them and potentially miss the drop - lose/lose situation.

You should instead apply Mantra of Conviction - Submission. At the moment it causes 17% of your DPS to all mobs around you, which means they die instantly. The range of the mantra is within screen range, so you should be able to see all the item drops.

I'm running MF capped (300%) with 12% movement speed boots + 10% from Fleet Footed passive. Basicly, you won't have to attack a single mob (besides goblins, they have some strange resistances).

3.The method

Ring can drop in Act 2 of normal difficulty. I'm starting my run at Vault of the Assassin to get fast 5 NV stacks. Then I proceed to Dalghur Oasis + Sewers of Caldeum + Ruined Cistern.

4.The results

After a week of on and off farming I've finaly found my ring (perfect 30%, go me!). Here's a list of other locations ppl reported the drops:

2x Forgotten Ruins (Dalghur Oasis)
1x Tomb of Khan Dakab (Dalghur Oasis)
1x Tomb of Sardar (Dalghur Oasis)
1x Ancient Cave (Dalghur Oasis)
3x Dalghur Oasis
2x Sewers of Caldeum
1x Ruined Cistern
1x Ancient Waterway
+
1x Vault of the Assassin (warning, uncomfirmed)

5.The misc

1.Gold
I strongly suggest getting at least one gear piece with increased pickup range. Not only you may make a little bit of gold on the side (made about 300k g yesterday), but it clears the screen space, so you have smaller chance to miss THE drop.

2.Experience
I've made around 4 mil exp in 7 hours worth of farming, which is a nice bonus.

How do you know if you haven't had it dropped yet?

Well aura's range is limited to the screen range - so you see all the drops. I've recalled my enchantress & mystic ally cause they used to go on a killing spree offscreen sometimes. With Mantra you're safe, you won't miss a thing

I've found 2 legendaries by now, neither of them was the ring though.

so do you use the Vault checkpoint and do the vault ONLY? or do you get stacks elsewhere first and/or kill kulle after the vault?
been doing A2 for days, not a single legendary

Well sometimes I reset, cause there's a lot more elites per minute in VoA than anywhere else, but sometimes I run through Desolate Sands for the Wheel of Missfortune as well.

so.. the 2 legendaries that dropped, were these both from elite packs in the vault, and if so, were they with 5 NV, or less?

TBH can't tell you. It takes about 1-2 minutes to get 5 NV on normal with that monk setup.

right.. but there are only ~7-8 packs in the vault, leaving only 2-3 kills for 5NV, and the rest with less, so idk if this is really a good method of farming legendaries, when most of the kills are gotten without 5 NV.. idk how much 5NV increases chance of legendaries, but I havent found any for days, so I must be doing something wrong :s

Maybe I didn't choose my words right in the first post, but the focus of the tip was WHY you should go with a monk and WHERE you should start

I'm experimenting now with the locations, cause I'm getting a bit bored; if I find anything I'll post an update.

Third legendary, still no ring. Legendaries drop rate fell when I've started to run through act 2 instead of quick VoA + Desolate Sands, it seems.

so you start by clearing VoA, then the entire Desolate sands? doesn't the entire desolate sands take forever to clear? especially if you do the caves too

As I stated above I only run the surface of the Desolate Sands, the key word is run.

EDIT: 4th legendary, without NV off the first elite pack in VoA. Still no ring in sight :/

how you find these legendaries is beyond me :E
I have 316 base MF, (391 with NV), Have been running A2 most of the day, not any kind of legendary to be found
