Running a diablo instance in VM1 for me works fine but as soon as the second instance of diablo runs on VM2 both lag, is this normal? I have 2500k oc'd to 4.2ghz and 8gigs of ram. I give each vm 2gigs and access to all 4 cores. Do I need more ram?
did anyone get shimizoki's script to work in vmware?
my friend and i are both having the same problem of cant recognize the main menu pic.
This is 100% useless for a laptop as it does not come with .iso files/OS install disk.
Currently the only method to create an .ISO file straight from your computer is:
Control Panel ---> Backup your computer (under systems and security) ----> save a 91gig .ISO file somewhere
The last part is the only difficult one as there is no disc big enough other than an external hard drive.

I've installed windows 7 64-bit on a VM,
however, I get random freezes/hangups on the VM WITHOUT DIABLO ON, even while using windows explorer or doing anything really(usually lasts a few seconds) while my regular PC(or whatever you call it) works flawlessly, I.e. its not my whole computer that freezes/hangups, just the VM.
My specs:
RAM:Corsair 8GB (2x4096MB) CL9 1333Mhz XMS3 + Corsair 4gb (KIT) DDR3 1333MHz/CL9/XMS3-10600
So a total of 12GB ram(i tried assigning 2gb, 4gb and 8gb to the VM, the hangups/freezes occur on all of them)
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz
Harddrive: HD1TB Samsung SP SATA-2 7200RPM Spinpoint F3
motherboard:Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 ATX, 4xDDR3, GbLAN, AM3
Graphiccard: XFX Radeon HD5770 1GB
Anyone have any idea as to why I'm getting these random freezes/hangups?
also tried assigning different amount of processors/cores to the VM, still getting them.
using VMware v8.0.1.528992
Your words are 100% useless, as .iso's are typically downloaded from the place where you download VMware. Its in the instructions on page one. Please don't tell other people instructions when you have no idea what you're talking about.
Iso's are typically around 2.5gb. Please stop giving advice and instructions. If you need help ask for it and you will receive.
boot-able and non boot-able ISO's can either be compiled from files using software, and typically the same software can create .iso images from optical discs in your drive.
IMGBurn is the most popular tool out there. Yet hundreds of others exist. Most places where you would be getting software from have already created ISO's for you with all the required materials. You know nothing Jon Snow.
My desktop has NO OPTICAL DRIVE, and obviously did not come with an operating system as I built it from parts. I installed w7 from an .iso on a flash drive, then installed the VMware OS using .iso files from the net as well.
Why are you here? Do you even lift?

I have had this running for a while but it seems to be using my video card quite a bit (560 ti), are you supposed to put the virtual machine in "Run in Background" mode or something?? Because right now I just minimize it
So I download VM and Win7 cracked and install both.. It doesn't let me drag files over, any help? also, i tried putting in my wifi router cd to install wifi and it cannot detect any connections but i'm still connected on my main desktop.. any help? thx
First of all, thanks for this guide!
Just a quick question, your saying you need to install VMware-workstation. I have installed VMware-player, does it work? Because it seems like workstation is not a freeware.
workstation allows GPU acceleration among other things. everything is freeware, depends how good of a person you are
that might be one of the problem a lot of people are having, they aren't using workstation.
If you are having performance issues, make sure you are using VMWARE WORKSTATION
