To drunk and tired so ill look tomorrow if its registry keys or appdata folders missing cause it wants to install D3 when moving game folder to VM, but worth mentioning in OP...

You should assign VM's all available cores, have 2 give each vm 2, have 4, give 4...
With workstation release 8 you have support for accelerated 3d graphics, should use it..
And i would assign all vmware reserved memory and let vmware handle memory allocation to avoid swapping to disk (will be to much i/o...).
And if you have 2 or more harddrives i would suggest having guests on non system drive.

you probably won't have to even edit image paths. the VM is its own computer, inside your computer. just put it in a folder of the same name in the virtual computer.

it worked for me.. but since the VMware runs quite a bit slower (even with 3+ gb ram dedicated to it) it cut my GPH by half..

yeah, the defining factor isn't going to be available ram. consider this though, when you have to use your compute to do work, your GPH is 0. so you just rasied it infinity percent.

Hi everyone, I'm new over here but I've been following these forums for quite some time! I just have a question about this method... Well, for some reason I can't log into my D3 account while being inside VM. It automatically blocks my account and asks me to verify some information... And even if I do it and retrieve my password, it keeps doing the same! which doesn't happen in my normal computer. Any idea of why this is happening? does Blizzard detect when you log in from a VM? thanks for the help!
