Wondering what your preferred memory viewer/editor is

As the title says I was wondering what your preferred memory viewer/editor is. I use chest engine but I find it a little cumbersome with Diablo 3. I'd like something that allows me to type in address in memory and displays the contents of memory at that point. If cheat engine does this I've yet to figure out how.

Or click "memory view", right click anywhere in the data view and "go to address".
But as a memory viewer I prefer to use something like IDA or reclass over CE since they let you define your own structures and dereference pointers instead of just watching integers.

I would kill for a superior memory search / edit venue. CE is so ugly and kills the eyes. OllyDbg is better IMO but you have to hook to it and it never shuts gracefully. Isn't there a professional level alternative. I'd pay $1000 for one.

what do you mean "never shuts gracefully"? It kills diablo? Detach before you exit. (I don't use olly but I bet there's probably an option to auto detach on exit)

I just downloaded OllyDbg 2.0a and it does indeed detach .

Even so, is there a better memory editor than either of these to be used while reversing?

Have you tried reclass? It takes a bit getting used to, but it's actually quite good. The only major issue is it's lack of native support for doubles and 64 bit integers.

Immunity Debugger is a great alternative to Olly.

Awesome, thanks for the info! That's what I get for not paying attention to updates.. Seems the source code was released about 2 months ago, and a version with all my major issues fixed a week ago
