    legendary farming hack possibility, needs implementation and testing

    hi,

    in the exploits forum there is a thread:
    http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/diab...stem-time.html (Legendary Timer is Based On Your System Time)

    it suggests that the legendary countdown is effected by system clock.
    if its true, than the game saves the last system time you got a legendary on in a file/registry, there are game files in game folder, in the AppData folder and the registry keys.

    the idea:
    to test this, we need to do a diff of all the files before and after a legendary drops (saving files and registry in a different folder than the active game folder).
    than, after the legendary drops, exit diablo and replace the changed value/file with the old one.

    unfortunately, i dont have the means to test this, or maybe this is a big pile of BS. anybody wants to tray this and report the results?

    unfortunately there has been plenty of posts disproving the system time thing with extensive tests. i wouldn't hold my breath on it to say the least

    so ideally u do this and hope for a drop withing the first 10-15 minutes of the game, then replace folders and hope u get another on in that exact time?

    which is time spent in combat, the more time passes the higher the chance for leg.

    So, you obviously didn't read the other thread which says it doesn't work, and you can't test it yourself.

    What is the added value of this thread?

    i actually implemented and tested this. I can confirm system clock has no impact whatsoever on anything visible ingame. Does not impact your latency, your time played, your droprate, cooldowns ...
    However there is a secondary clock "gettickcount" that might produce strange bugs. To change this you need process hooking that i did not want to risk ..
