Using AutoIt while playing full screen
Is it possible to press a key that runs an AutoIt script while in the full screen game of Diablo 3? There are plenty of keyboard/macro recorders that can do it but you have to alt tab out. I just want to press a button while in game and have it press "I" and equip all my MF gear. If this isn't possible in full screen, what's an alternative?
It is possible, you will have to write into Autoit a Pause script. That will enable (upon key press) the script to pause or resume even if in full screen of game. CTRL+I or something would work well. Then it will run your script. Keep in mind, what you want is to have all your MF gear equipped. Autoit is a mouse clicker script program. In other words, you would have to have the MF gear in same spot as any other time. It wouldn't be like in wow where you can just click a "gear set". It would have to be
Click this spot
click this spot
click this spot
so on for the rest of each piece of gear.
And you would need to just sit and watch it. Depending on how many pieces, could take a minute or so.
If you would like I could write you a script. Let me know what your screen resolution is and which inventory slots your MF gear will be. A screenshot would likely be easiest.
I am not sure what an alt would be, I use Autoit and AHK for a lot but it is pretty limited as it doesn't inject into the memory and can't read the game. Simple mouse location scripts and key presses.
I will try to write the script myself to learn it.
Have all MF gear in my bag and have regular stuff equipped.
Right before a boss dies, I hit the hotkey and it presses "I" and then clicks on all my gear.
After I loot, I can just run the same macro (because all my gear will be in the same spot
Why will it take a minute? Can't I just make a bunch of MouseClicks with no/minimal delay? I myself can do it in about 2-3 seconds, so wouldn't AutoIt be able to do it even faster?

Based on your plan... definitely. I would recommend sending right clicks though not click and drag which is what I was thinking. But since you will direct swap gear back and forth. Just write it to do right click on each item.
Side note, does anyone know if the MF is calculated when boss dies or when encounter begins?
The scripts are relatively easy, and there are tons of tutorials and programs to help you out there. Good luck!
Upon googling it, most people say that MF is based on when the boss dies.
Perfect. If you need help let us know, and I would love to see your code when it is finished. Enjoy.
Nope. It can read and write to memory.
